OBSERVATION OF MIGRATORY BIRDS<\/div>\n

You will find good places around the mouth of Oued Tamri for bird watching. North of the mouth, there is an area of cliffs and dunes that will allow you to do some seawatch sessions and see colonies of Bald Ibis which use the cliffs as a nesting area.<\/p>\n

It is a sensitive area for this species, so you have to respect and observe from a certain distance. The amount of birds you will be able to see depends on the season. At the mouth, you will observe Audouin’s Gulls and Traveling Terns passing not far from the edge.<\/p>\n

The oued attracts many birds: ducks, spoonbills, herons, shorebirds …<\/p>\n

What is a Ramsar site?<\/div>\n

The objective of the Ramsar Convention (Iran), ratified in 1971, is to stop the tendency towards the disappearance of wetlands and to promote their conservation, as well as that of their flora and fauna (water birds) and to promote their rational use.<\/p>\n
