WORKING COLLECTIVE GRANARY<\/div>\n

The village of Ait Kine, 45 km from the town of Tata, is a regional heritage treasure to be discovered. In addition to the splendid fully restored collective granary (early 18th century) and the seven watchtowers, the village houses a mosque and Dar Imrabtine, a very beautiful traditional house typical of the southern provinces.<\/p>\n

Take a walk in this village to discover the covered passages that connect the small alleys. The collective granary is still in operation. From the village, the beauty of the mountains is magical.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

How to get there:<\/em><\/p>\n

From Agadir, head in the direction of Taroudant (Follow P1714 and P1706), then take R109 towards Igherm. In Igherm, take the road to the left and travel 40 km to reach the Oasis of Tleta Tagmoute. On leaving the village, turn left to visit Agadir Ait Kine (30.024251, -8.181927).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>

REMINDER ON THE REGIONAL ARCHITECTURE OF TATA<\/div>\n

The kasbahs are the dwelling place of the lords. At the beginning, they were built within the ksour; subsequently, they were planted directly in the palm groves.<\/p>\n

It is in fact a large quadrilateral with thick adobe walls including towers. The interior is a series of enclosures and courtyards. The ksour are fortified villages which often enclose igoudar (fortified granaries).<\/p>\n
