Nestled in the magnificent Almenn valley, the village of Tafraoute is surrounded by famous blocks of pink granite. In the middle of this setting is one of the most surprising artistic creations of the region: Painted Rocks (29.672352, -8.972628) .<\/p>\n

In 1984, the Belgian artist Jean V\u00e9rame painted a dozen blocks of rocks in blue in the town of Aguerd Oudad, near Tafraout. Whether we like it or not, this work does not leave anyone indifferent and we will even find lovers of this psychedelic setting. There is something for everyone. It’s absolutely worth seeing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

How to get there:<\/em><\/p>\n

Arriving from Tafraoute, you reach this surprising site via a track starting on the right at point (29.672352, -8.972628). The track winds through piles of painted rocks. It’s a real curiosity !!! If you are by car, take the opportunity to continue on to the Gorges of Ait Mansour (29.547849, -8.876524). The place is relaxing, you can also eat there.<\/p>\n

The return to Tafraoute can be done by the loop which goes through Timgdicht and Tizerkine (29.585353, -8.795838).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
