OCEAN AND MOUNTAINS
Journey from Agadir: 1 hour
Cape Ghir is a rocky promontory which is located about forty kilometers northwest of Agadir. Here you will find a lighthouse built in 1932 (30.632017, -9.882360) which is 41 meters high and whose shining light can be seen from more than 40 kilometers away.
On the other hand, notice to amateurs: to enjoy the view from the top of the lighthouse, you will have to climb a hundred steps.
The entire coast is bordered by moderately high mountain ranges. The vegetation consists of euphorbias and the cape is the only site in Africa where the argan grove is in contact with the seaside. A walk along the coast will offer you a magnificent panorama of the ocean and will allow you to observe migratory birds passing over the sea.
