Tasguent: The granary to see around Tafraoute

It is in the northeast of Tafraout that you will find one of the most beautiful “igoudar” in the region. Agadir Tasguent is over 350 years old. Tasguent is one of the largest and best preserved of the Anti-Atlas. Limited by the space of the relief chosen, the agadir is mounted 6 floors high. Its architecture is impressive.
The agadir contains three courtyards accessible by 2 covered passages. The first passage serves the first two courtyards and the central square. Hundreds of huts line its walls. It is accessed by climbing on stone platforms serving as stairs.

From Tafraoute, take route 105 then Route 106 at point: 29.742316, -8.831720, continue by road P1723 at point (29.875094, -8.722383) to visit Agadir Tasguent (29.913932, -8.745364). If you continue on the P1723, you will find another Agadir Touflaazt granary (visible from the road) at point: 30.065936, -8.825737. It is accessible on foot at 150 meters. Still continuing on the P1723, you find another Agadir Iguer n’ghar granary (visible from the road) at point: 30.167224, -8.928098. It is accessible by the track starting at point: 30.160661, -8.934696. Come back to Tafraoute via the same road.
