ON THE ROAD FROM TOUBKAL NATIONAL PARK
Journey from Agadir: 4 hours
Located near (southeast) the Toubkal Massif, the Tifnoute Valley (31.043108, -7.842307) follows the Assif Tifnoute. This river (oued or assif) is actually the mountainous part, beyond Aoulouz , of the Oued Souss, whose source is located near Jbel Toubkal, and which flows into the ocean to the south of Agadir. It is the Souss plain, which forms downstream, which is the border between the Western High Atlas in the north and the Anti-Atlas in the south.
The Tifnoute valley offers an incredible panorama and is a popular route for hikers and mountain bikers alike. There are torrents, waterfalls and lush vegetation. This place is a haven of peace for its visitors. Some of the villages extending from the steep slopes of the valley were once inhabited by a Jewish community. The visit of the Tifnout Valley can be an activity linked to a hiking trip to Lake Ifni or trekking to Adrar N’dern or the Toubkal Massif .
