When to go for a hike?

Trekking in the Anti-Atlas can be done during winter, with a much milder climate than the High Atlas and less snow. The days are sunny but the nights can be cold (negative temperature possible). Clear skies assured. The period from October to April is recommended. Avoid summer, which can be very hot. Around Tafraoute , the ideal season is February when the almond trees are in bloom.
For the High Atlas , the best time to go hiking in the High Atlas is from March to October. In spring and fall, the sun is strong but the air remains cool. April can be humid. Summer is hot and even the low valleys of the High Atlas can reach temperatures of 30 ° C.
Winter climbs to Jbel Toubkal are possible, but during the night the temperature can be negative, with snow from the end of October.
