SOUK D’AOURIR

Located 15 km north of Agadir, the village of Aourir (30.497282, -9.674583), houses a traditional weekly souk. Indeed, every Wednesday, in the direction of the beach, an esplanade welcomes at dawn a large number of traders, rushing to set up their tents and display their goods: sellers of vegetables and fruits, spices and condiments, clothes, jewelry, flea markets ….. The inhabitants of the region flock there in droves, on foot, on mule back, by taxi …

SOUK OF TAMRI

Tamri (30.696997, -9.824934) is a coastal village 60 km north of Agadir, very famous for its banana trees and for its beaches. On Monday there is the weekly souk day. The traders invade the village and give it a special atmosphere. The main thoroughfare of the village becomes a real spectacle: auction sales, meeting locals, impressive displays, so many curiosities that are worth a detour …

TIQQI SOUK

Tiqqi (30.745432, -9.328562) is a small village inland, 70 kms from Agadir. Wednesday is the day of the traditional weekly souk, offering the rural population the opportunity to stock up and exchange various products: foodstuffs, basic necessities, harvests, local products … region coincides with this souk, come and discover the simplicity and spontaneity of a hospitable rural population.

IMOUZZER SOUK

Immouzer Ida Outanane (30.672285, -9.480903) is located 60 km north of Agadir, this town is home to a traditional Berber souk, which is the subject of tourist excursions. Indeed, on Thursdays, the surrounding villages, in search of provisions and tourists, in search of a change of scenery, mingle at the Souk Imouzzer which abounds with all kinds of food.

SOUK OF ARGANA

The village of Argana (30.782554, -9.122170), located 80 km north-east of Agadir, houses its weekly souk on Tuesday, which is the meeting place for all the surrounding population. Supplies of all kinds, long discussions, exchanges of the latest news, this is the unmissable event in neighboring villages. Visiting this souk is undoubtedly one of the best opportunities to see an authentic and original hinterland.

SOUK D’AMESKROUD

The village of Ameskroud (30.529366, -9.331201) is located about forty kilometers east of Agadir, on the foothills of the High Atlas. Its weekly souk is above all a place of reunion and trade. Cattle are traded in front of huge stalls of spices, vegetables and fruits. Some improvised snacks under the tents, serve donuts, fried fish and mint tea. You can find everything there: coupling accessories, tools, herbalists, traditional healers, tooth pullers, in short, a change of scenery! ….
