Historians affirm that it is in the fort known as Aguelgal in Aguerd that Cheikh Mohamed Essaadi, main founder of the Saadian dynasty resided from 1540 to 1554. This fort served as a starting point for attacks against the Portuguese fortress known as Santa Cruz do Cabo de Aguer (Cap Ghir).

Lalla Baytou Mosque

In Ait Rahal north of Akka (on the road to Imitek), the magnificent minaret of the old ″ Lalla Baytou Allah ″ mosque of the Kasbah of Agadir Amghar takes you back to the time of the Almohad dynasty (12th century) ). It is a square-shaped minaret resembling the Hassan Tower in Rabat.
