LITTLE KNOWN JBEL BANI

The arid region of Bani is located east of Souss Massa. It is bordered to the north by the Anti-Atlas and to the south by the Sahara. This region is dominated by a mountain range, the Jbel Bani, which spans it for nearly 500 kilometers between Zagora and Tan-Tan.
The Bani region is crisscrossed by oueds (rivers), tributaries of the Oued Drâa, which cut into the mountain range of Jbel Bani through narrow gorges. It is this phenomenon that created the Bani oasis string, among which we find Foum-Zguid , Tissint , Tata , Akka and Foum el Hisn.
It is the country of the black mountains, the first sand dunes. The vegetation is gradually disappearing but the landscape is superb. You just have to choose your summit and climb to admire the landscape.
You are in the kingdom of minerals, geology and rock engravings . It is the best place to recharge your batteries. This region is often chosen for trekking off the beaten track offering unique views of oases and ever more impressive mountain ranges!
