Souks of Inezgane at the southern exit of Agadir
Journey from Agadir: 20 mins / 12 km (car / bike)
Located 8 kilometers from downtown Agadir, Inezgane, capital of the Inezgane-Aït Melloul prefecture, is best known for its enormous commercial activity. A popular anecdote says that all markets are in the middle of cities, except Inezgane which is in the middle of the markets. Indeed, many souks are present in Inezgane:
- The Tuesday souk (30.359334, -9.530936) which has become a permanent souk.
- Souk El Houria (30.357788, -9.525786) which is a more organized souk.
The Tuesday Souk and Souk el Houria are perfect for shopping, and there you will find all kinds of food products and crafts: basketwork, carpets, silver jewelry, leather shoes, pottery, etc.
How to get there:
Located at the southern exit of Agadir, it will be easier to take a big taxi from Agadir to get there.
The Wholesale Market (30.356587, -9.522080), which is the fruit and vegetable trade hub of the Kingdom of Morocco and some sub-Saharan countries (Senegal, Mauritania, etc.), is impressive compared to the volume processed daily and worth a visit.
Besides the fruit and vegetable trade, Inezgane is home to other souks for leather, cattle and grain. There is nothing that cannot be found in Inezgane.
Every day, from morning to night, the city trades incessantly.
